But what took so long was that Avast did find something-a couple of Trojans in some backup files and I think a browser helper. I never dreamed it would take so long to run Avast! I started at 11 PM last night and finished the final step a little after 5 PM this evening! I knew it was going to take a long time for the scan because I have 2 1-Terybite hard drives. Just checking in before I start the next step and to let you know what has been going on. If I closed your topic and you need it to be reopened, simply PM me. And how do I finally get rid of the rest of this Incredible bar's dregs? So evidently I never did get rid of everything to do with the Incredible bar ! As I said at the beginning, I don't know weather the Incredible bar has anything to do with the wrtc.exe file or not, but it's funny I never had any trouble until they both showed up about the same time!Ĭan anyone tell me what to do with this wrtc. I don't know how long that search engine has been there, afraid I just have not noticed until now. Until now I have always had an Amazon search engine in the right hand side of my browser-but not any more! Now it says, "MyStar Search"! I clicked on the search icon to see what it was and instantly it took me to Incredible bar's homepage and my WOT popped up red and would not let me on the site! (which I didn't want to do anyway). Then today while I had my FF open I decided that I wanted to go to Amazon for some shopping. I thought about deleting it but was afraid I would be messing up something on my computer if I just deleted without uninstalling something. Most sites said it was not a threat or a low threat, and some said it was harmful-I could not get a good sense of weather this was a dangerous file or not. Next I did a Google search on the file that was listed in the ARFC folder-wrtc.exe. It was listed: C/Windows/System32/ARFC-so next I ran this folder, ARFC, with both my Malwarebytes & Avast-both came up and said no threat detected even though SUPERAntiSpyware said it was a threat. Finally I wrote down exactly where this Trojan was suppose to be located. Since then, every day I have had SUPERAntiSpyware to pop up telling me that I still have this same threat and each time I had it removed. It was suppose to be some type of Unclassified/Dropper. I then scanned my whole computer with SUPERAntiSpyware and found mostly tracking cookies and one red threat. Then I had my SUPERAntiSpyware to suddenly pop up and tell me that I had a Trojan on my computer. Sorry I can't remember now what I finally did to make it disappear.
I tried different things over days before I finally got it to go away. That still did not uninstall the Incredible bar. When I saw the Incredible bar when I opened my browser back up, I immediately went to Revo Uninstaller and uninstalled the downloader program. I don't know if the 2 have anything to do with one another, but I am having a problem getting rid of all dregs of both! First of all, I accidentally downloaded the Incredible bar last week when I was supposedly be downloading a faster down-loader.
